Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 June 2025

Pagecog ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian web design and development agency based in Wollongong, NSW. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

By using our website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described below.

What we collect

We only collect information we genuinely need to run our business and respond to you.

Information you give us directly. When you fill in a form on our site (a contact form, a free website audit request, a project enquiry or a quote request), we collect the details you choose to provide. That typically includes:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (if you provide it)
  • Your business or website URL
  • Any message or project details you write

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we collect limited technical and usage information through analytics, such as:

  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • The pages or links you clicked
  • Your approximate location (city/region level), device type and browser
  • The website or search that referred you to us

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, racial, political or financial details), and we ask that you don't send it to us through our forms.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes, audits and proposals
  • Deliver, support and improve the services you've engaged us for
  • Send you information you've asked for, and occasional service-related updates
  • Understand how our website is used so we can make it better
  • Meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for third-party marketing.

How we collect it (cookies and analytics)

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to measure how it's used. Analytics cookies are only set where permitted and help us see, in aggregate, how visitors find and move through the site. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site may work less smoothly if you do.

Third-party service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to operate our website and communicate with you. These providers process data on our behalf and only for the purposes we set:

  • Cloudflare - hosting, content delivery and security for our website. Cloudflare may process technical data (such as IP addresses) to serve pages quickly and protect against attacks.
  • Resend - delivery of emails generated by our website forms, so your enquiry reaches our inbox.
  • Google Analytics - aggregate, privacy-conscious website usage measurement.

These providers may store or process data outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy.

How we store and protect your information

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Our site runs on Cloudflare's secure infrastructure, and we limit access to personal information to the people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work to reduce the risk.

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you can:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep
  • Opt out of non-essential communications at any time

To make any of these requests, email us at contact@pagecog.com.au. We'll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

Making a complaint

If you think we've mishandled your personal information, contact us at contact@pagecog.com.au and we'll work with you to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Significant changes will be posted here.
